Saw 4 pods of Orcas -- beautiful weather! What could be better??!!

We were really apprehensive about seeing whales when we found out the previous day no whales were seen by the tour groups and 'guarantee' vouchers were given out. The day was overcast due to smoke from the surrounding forest fires which added a hint of gloom. When riding the shuttle to the departure area in Steveston we learn that some tour groups were currently viewing whales so our Captain would know where to go--things were beginning to look promising. After about a half hour boat ride we came upon a pod of Orca's that were feeding and occasionally exhibited showed some playfulness. They would surface, wave, a occasionally breach. After about 45 minutes we proceeded to another location and saw another pod which was larger and again seemed to be feeding. They were not as playful and tended to stay closer together. The shuttle driver, captain, and Naturalist on board were great and very open to providing information and answering questions. I would highly recommend this company for whale watching excursions.

What a fun adventure we had. The guides were wonderful and knew about the whales. They were friendly and we had water and snacks on the boat. We saw Killer Whales right away and got some beautiful pictures. I highly recommend this tour.

An excellent trip and we saw a lot of whales! The guides new exactly where to find them so we wasted no time getting out to the location. The boat is quite noisy and it can get a bit chilly on board so take warm layers to put on.
