The driver, cowboy, was funny and informative, however we only have had 2 stops along the route and not 5 as he originally told us (unless the bathroom stops were included). The boat went close but not under the waterfall. Expensive trip. Appears the cheaper trips do the exact same thing

This is one of the amazing trip I had booked with Viator. I am so pleased with the quality of trip and service. The bus driver / guide "Called Cow Boy" was so funny and helpful. He entertained us all the way till end. He made sure that each and every one had a good time. I certainly recommend this tour and operator.

We had a lovely (but long) day to Milford Sound from Queenstown. The driver Jamie was jovial and knowledgable (though a little strict - understandably as he must get some Nongs, but it was a little worrying that if you weren’t back to the coach dead on time he was going to leave without you). We had plenty of stops along the way to stretch and grab a bite/drink/comfort break - as well as to take some beautiful pictures.The driver did say “the tour is not just about the destination (the boat cruise), it’s about the journey to it”. And he was right. The boat ride was a pretty standard chug out of the harbour and then back again, with a close encounter with a waterfall. The mountains were gorgeous, but I might have fallen into a self-induced trap of believing it was going to be “life changing” or “never forgotten experience” (quoting the driver also, quite the philosopher !?) and that the 5 hour journey there would be completely justified by a 90 min boat ride with free tea and crammed with loud foreigners eating noodles with their mouths open. Ticked a box. Glad I did it.

This was an experience of a lifetime, highly recommended for anyone who is visiting Queenstown. Jamie, our coach driver had a lot of insightful stories about the region and the country, and regaled us throughout the trip. Kudos to Milford Sound Select

Great day trip to the magnificent Milford Sound. The driver/guide was very knowledgable and took us to beautiful photo spots. The coach was also comfortable and clean.

The tour guide is very informative. The coach is very comfortable and clean. The view on the way is just gorgeous, and the milfound sound looks stunning. We were happy to have a sunny sky there. Only the lunch available at the cruise did not get much choices. Advised to buy sandwich at Te Anau.
