Paddle the National Wild and Scenic Wekiva River. Observe manatee, alligators, otter, and the occasional black bear. Enjoy a riverside picnic lunch and a shuttle at the end of the day so you do not have to paddle upstream

The scenery and sightings of the wildlife were excellent.. Our guide Bill could not have been more helpful.. From our part we were not experienced in the kayaking for the 5 hour experience. We would go for a shorter trip next time

My wife and I paddled the Wekiva River while we were in Orlando visiting our son. It was a very cold March morning but after we met our guide, Matt, he assured us that the water was warm, the sun would shine and there was no reason to not go. We made the right decision. Our eight mile, four hour paddle was over too quickly. Along the river we saw lots of wild life while being expertly informed by our guide. If you are not Parks People and are looking for a great experience, I would recommend this alternative activity - a Florida river paddle on the wild and very scenic Wekiva River.
