Sommardagstur till Pilatus från Luzern

Om den här aktiviteten
Meet your guide in central Lucerne in the early afternoon and hop aboard your comfortable coach for the short journey to Kriens, at the foot of the imposing Mt Pilatus. On arrival, begin your ascent to the mountain’s lofty summit with a 30-minute panoramic gondola ride to the Fräkmüntegg terminus. Enjoy beautiful views over the rolling hills and lush pine forests below.

At Fräkmüntegg, hop aboard the aerial cableway — a spacious and modern cabin with panoramic windows designed to give the feeling of flight. Continue your climb to the summit at a dizzying altitude of 7,000 feet, and take in spectacular views over the Alpine peaks and lakes from your vantage point on the mountain.

During your free time atop Mt Pilatus, perhaps sit down to a high-altitude lunch among the peaks (own expense) or relax on the expansive sun terrace. Venture down the Dragon's Path and take the short hike around the summit to enjoy the amazing views.

Take the world's steepest cogwheel train down to Alpnachstad, descending past trickling mountain streams and sheer rock faces toward the verdant, green meadows below. On arrival, conclude your tour with a picturesque 1-hour boat ride across lovely Lake Lucerne and enjoy the spectacular scenery from an entirely different angle. Your tour finishes at the end of the cruise in Lucerne.

The Golden Roundtrip (ascent by aerial cable car, descent by cogwheel train, return to Lucerne by boat) operates between early May and late October. Between late October and mid-November the aerial cable car is under maintenance. In this case you will travel up and down Mt. Pilatus by cogwheel train. The boat on Lake Lucerne operates from early May until late October - if you are traveling when the boat is no longer in operation you will return to Lucerne by train and receive a complimentary lunch instead.

This Viator excursion offered everything we wanted for our first day on vacation in Lucerne, Switzerland!

We last minute booked this and we LOVED it! We did MT Titlis the following day and while they were both awesome, we preferred the MT Pilatus tour for the spectacular views you get of Lake Lucerne. You also get to experience and see more of amazing Switzerland on this tour with the Cogwheel train and the Lake Lucerne cruise on the way back, whereas the MT Titlis tour is mainly about snow activities. How much you enjoy either tour will also depend on how much cloud cover you get - so if you have some flexibility with your itinerary, make sure you check the weather in the lead up.

Although we had a guide this was pretty much explore on your own which was fine by us. I would have liked a little more time on Mt Pilatus. We wanted to try the toboggan run but there was not enough time to do that and see top view. The boat trip was great and the bus was new and comfortable.

This was the family highlight of our trip to Europe - would highly recommend. Tour guide was excellent to guide us up and down the mountain, sharing interesting insights along the way. 10 minute coach ride, 4-person gondola, 50-person gondola, cogswheel train down and steam ship back on Lake Lucerne. Pilatus was covered in clouds but cleared for a few minutes so we could enjoy the full view at the top. Wonderful views on way up and down. About 2 hours at the summit to explore. Great day all round.

The trip was well planned, but I feel like the guide basically just brought us up the mountain, and down to the ferry. There was not much personal knowledge shared. It was mostly just telling us what we could do at the mountain top. That being said, the mountain top is beautiful. We were lucky to have such a great sunny day! The views from the top as well as on the lake were gorgeous!

Tour was outstanding. Experienced the various travel forms up and down the mountain. Gondolas (4 person and 2 person) up to Mt. Pilaus was breathtaking. Several hours of free time to explore and take photo shots was perfect. Cruising Lake Lucerne was very relaxing and equally scenic. Two comments I would make are, if you have motion sickness concerns, avoid sitting backwards as you go up in the Gondolas and down in the Cog Train cars and we wish Viator had secured boat passes so we could have sat on the upper deck of the ship.

One of the best things one can do when in lucerne. It combines lots of experiences from riding on gondolas in the air enjoying a wonderful view from 2 thousand meters and a nostalgic way back in a boat Ralph, our guide was friendly, informative and humorous. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

This was a fun and absolutely beautiful trip. Our guide, Rolf, made everything easy and was very organized. It's a great balance of group travel but still allows for free time at the summit. From our meeting point to the return boat ride and everything in between...this was a wonderful 1/2 day excursion!!

The tour was well organized, exactly what we expected. Mount Pilatus was amazing ! Just enough time to walk everywhere, then enjoy a coffee before going down the cog wheel train. Fabulous views ! There were heavy blankets available so my daughter was able to stay warm outside. The boat ride back to Lucerne was a nice way to end the tour. We came from Basel by train so we had enough time before the tour to walk around and then had time for dinner in Lucerne before heading back to Basel. Definitely worth the trip !

Mount Pilatus would get an excellent rating if the weather had cooperated but unfortunately this was not the case. It was a trip we had been looking forward to but we were up in the clouds and the rain keep us inside for much of our tour.

This not a guided tour with much narrative but our guide was personable and professional, enjoyed her company. No lake boat although others were operating. No gondola, closed a day or two prior so the “Tour “ was a bus ride and cog train. Forty Franks inadequate for a proper lunch, only soup, salad, desert (shared). Poor value, should have been cancelled and refunded.

What a great experience! Taking the lift up, then the gondola to the top and the cogwheel train down....what an amazing trip. Even though it was very foggy at the top and we had no real view....so glad we did this trip and highly recommend it.
