11-Days South African Classic Tour with Kruger National Park and Cape Town

Itinerary

DAY 1 - 4: Kruger National Park Transfer to Kruger National Park. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Your guide will be with you all the times for the duration of the tour. Sightseeing and game drives with the tour guide from the air-conditioned vehicle for the duration of the your stay. Overnight: Skukuza Camp or Similar Meals: Breakfast and Dinner included. 

DAY 5: Johannesburg - Apartheid Museum; Soweto Tour

After an early breakfast, depart on a tour of The Apartheid Museum, dedicated to illustrating apartheid and the 20th-century history of South Africa. Then we will travel to Soweto which is the most metropolitan township in the country. We will visit Nelson Mandela's Soweto home, before proceeding to the Hector Peterson memorial, dedicated to one of the first casualties of the Soweto uprising of 1976. DAY 6: Pretoria, Hartbeespoort Dam, Lesedi Village

The Pretoria Capital City tour offers a visit to some of the Historical Sites including the Union Buildings with the newly erected Sculpture of Nelson Mandela. Pretoria is called the Jacaranda City - named because of the beautiful jacaranda trees that line the streets in the main part of town making for a beautiful purple October. Lunch is at the scenic Hartbeespoort Dam where there is also a bustling flea market to purchase local crafts. Lesedi Cultural Village: This is a multi-cultural village and a home of 5 African Tribes i.e. Basotho, Zulu, Pedi, Xhosa and Ndebele. Overnight: Johannesburg, Holiday Inn Rosebank Meals: Breakfast and Dinner

DAY 7: Flight to Cape Town, Lagoon Beach Hotel

After breakfast, transfer to OR Tambo Airport for travel to Cape Town and the Lagoon Beach Hotel. Evening of dinner and entertainment. Overnight: Lagoon Beach Hotel or Similar Meals: Breakfast

DAY 8 - 10: Cape Peninsula Tour, Table Mountain, Tour of Winelands, Robben Island and Shopping at Victoria and Alfred Waterfront

Tour the Cape Peninsula, Seal Island followed by a stunning view of Cape Town from Table Mountain. Enjoy wine tasting and a tour of several vineyards. Then take a tour to Robben Island. The three and a half hour tour includes a return trip across Table Bay to the Island, a visit to the Maximum Security Prison, interaction with an ex-political prisoner and a 45 minute bus tour with a guide providing commentary. Overnight: Cape Town, Lagoon Beach Hotel Meals: Breakfast. Lunch and Dinner own account.
