Du åker från Tusayan i Arizona vid Grand Canyons södra kant i världens säkraste och bekvämaste turisthelikopter. Under helikopterturen på 45 minuter får du njuta av lyxig komfort i den inglasade helikoptern och se häpnadsväckande utsikt över kanjonen.
Du får en fantastisk utsikt över kanjonen när du flyger över den 6 500 km² stora Kaibab National Forest, som gränsar både till Grand Canyons norra och södra kanter. I Kaibab National Forest finns världens största ponderosatallar.
När du når kanjonens kant avlägsnar sig den södra kanten, och den norra kanten och den östra delen av kanjonen träder fram. Det här är definitivt en av de bästa vyerna över Grand Canyon.
Du fortsätter resan genom att följa Coloradofloden uppför. På avstånd får du se den 378 km² stora Painted Desert och det 21 meter höga Desert View Watchtower, ett landmärke för hela landets historia. I Desert View Watchtower finns ett observationsdäck. Härifrån kan nationalparkens besökare se Grand Canyons östra delar.
Därefter får du se Marble Canyon, delen av Coloradofloden som utgör Grand Canyons början, och Point Imperial, den norra kantens högsta punkt med sina 2 683 meter. Point Imperial vetter mot Painted Desert och Grand Canyons östra ände. Du flyger genom kanjonen över den norra kanten söderut genom Dragon Corridor, som är kanjonens bredaste och djupaste parti.
I slutet av helikopterturen åker du över Coloradofloden och flyger över den södra kanten och Kaibab National Forest för att landa.
Obs! I enlighet med FAA:s bestämmelser måste alla passagerare över 18 år kunna visa upp fotolegitimation vid incheckningen, till exempel körkort eller pass.

Amazing. Definitely a must do for anyone who wants to see the Grand Canyon. 45 minutes is the right amount of time.
We had a great flight over the grand canyon. Our pilot Kyle was very nice and funny. We can definitely recommend this experience. Our flight was in the morning so we were able go to the Rim afterwards and spent the day there

Definitely worth to book this 45 minutes helicopter tour. The view is uncomparable with just walking at the canyon. Organization of the tour operator was also very good. Only problem: the helicopter has 8 seats and there are 2 not ideal positions (back in the middle) which have not such a good view. And you are allocated by weight so with bad luck you receive one of those 2 seats.
Our Maverick Helicopter pilot was friendly and knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and provide insightful commentary all during the flight. I really appreciated what he had to say and his demeanor. Great Job and highly recommend people fly with Maverick Helicopters.
This is a great overview of the Grand Canyon for out of town visitors. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we did it again with other visitors. The grandeur of the Canyon becomes a reality from the air.
This is THE way to see the North and South rim of the Grand Canyon! Our pilot, Jesse, perfectly narrated our tour with lots of information while deftly flying this totally fun aircraft. HIGHLY recommend the 45-minute flight with Maverick. Professional staff. Great value. Fantastic experience!
It was an amazing experience. The view from Helicopter was so beautiful and different from the view from south rim.
Trip got knocked down to 25 minutes after we booked 45 minutes - but it was because of the weather and poor visibility . Otherwise everyone one the ground staff was courteous and helpful. Our pilot BJ was skilled at flying extremely knowledgeable about the Canyon, and kept us thoroughly entertained throughout the flight!
Its a fun, non-crowded, way to see the grand canyon. If you get stuck in the middle in the back row you don't have great views. A Sun filter is a must for your camera for decent photos. It's expensive, but a bucket list thing to do. And kids don't have much of an appreciation 4 the experience.
We had a 12.45 pm scheduled tour which got postponed due to weather to 4.30pm. we showed up at 4pm and we were right away taken for the flight. Luckily me and my parents got the front seats alongside the pilot Robert. The views are mesmerizing and Robert was very knowledgeable of the Grand canyon and the kaibab forest. The tour lasted exactly for 45 min. Maverick Helicopters offered great and friendly service. After shopping around a lot, I was able to get the new member discount with Viator and got this tour for $249.9 per person. Great deal and awesome experience.
We've never been in a helicopter before so we were a bit nervous. But the helicopter was very comfortable and the ride was smooth, so NO PROBLEM! Employees were great, pilot fantastic, facilities and helicopter excellent. The ride of a lifetime! I know it's not cheap but it's worth every penny. My attitude was you got to do it once, but it was so much fun I may do it again!
