The landscape was gorgeous. However, it was not worth spending money on this tour. Food was not good. The group was very slow so we went ahead and we had very little interaction with guides.

If you have dietary restrictions, bring your own food. This is a long day. Gave rep list of foods I can't eat, was told this was ok, when we got there the info had not been passed on, and I was only given food I couldn't eat. There is nowhere else nearby to buy food. The views from the top are stunning. Worth doing for this. The trek is very hard due to the altitude - up to 5200 metres. Even if you are physically fit you may need to hire a horse. Do not pay the horse people directly! You are supposed to pay on the gate on the way out. Fee for the horse should be 70 to 80 sol. The horse people may try to lead you round the other way and overcharge you. Keep an eye on where they are taking you and try to stick with the rest of the group.
