Your journey of Thailand exploration commences with an early departure from your Bangkok hotel. Via the former capital of the Siam Kingdom, Ayutthaya, and Lopburi, we make our way northwards towards our overnight address in Phitsanuloke. Heritage from a bygone era in the form of the Bang Pa In Summer Palace and the Khmer inspired Phra Prang Sam Yot are among the highlights on this day.

Filled with impressions after day one, Sukhothai Historical Park follows in the footsteps of visiting former kingdoms of ancient Siam. Its temple ruins are among the most sought-after for visits. A visit to the satellite town of Sri Satchanalai completes our morning program before making a much needed lunch break. With our overnight address in Lampang further up north, we include touring this old town before dining at the hotel’s restaurant.

Making merit is filed with austerity and symbolism: a visit to Thailand is not complete in following in the early morning trails of local residents paying respect to saffron clad monks. A long day brings you via Phayao to Chiang Rai, our overnight address. The gateway to the famous Golden Triangle will be extensively explored throughout the afternoon with visits to Chiang Saen, Mae Sai and the actual Golden Triangle as essential bucket list material.

Wat Rong Kung has to be the main attraction of Chiang Rai city; its story and white exterior stand out from the temple crowd in Thailand and mark the start of a new day. Afterwards, we slowly make our way south towards the Rose of the North – Chiang Mai. Seeing the handicraft masters at work and enjoying a traditional Kantoke dinner in Thailand’s second largest city marks the end of an amazing day out and about.

Chiang Mai has ample to offer to fill in a day. We’re making our way into a sustainable centre that turns animal faeces into day-to-day household goods, a royal museum and ending the day with mesmerizing views from Doi Suthep Mountain temple. In the evening, we head over to the train station for an overnight train experience back to Bangkok, followed by an early morning transfer back to your hotel.

Joint tours are operated with an English-speaking guide only.
Depending on the number of guests on any confirmed tours, the correct type of car / mini-van/coach cannot be confirmed upon reservation. This also depends on the availability of accommodation.
Transfers are only operated within the downtown Bangkok areas and restricted to main hotels only. Regions outside the central business district such as Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, both International Airports, Ratchadapisek and upper Sukhumvit (Soi 55 and further) are excluded and supplementary charges apply.
We regret that are unable to provide pick-up and drop-off transfer services from and to apartment complexes, local guest houses or private apartments. We advise you kindly to head on your own arrangement to the nearest hotel inside the downtown Bangkok area.
Should you have booked a joint / Seat-In-Coach excursion, we are unable to communicate with you with accurate participation numbers, as these may change until the very last moment.
We will do all possible to comply with any dietary requirements during this excursion; it may not always be possible to confirm your wishes in advance based on the choice of local restaurant.
This excursion includes obstacles of various kinds that may not make this excursion suitable for wheelchair users. The obstacles comprise of unpaved roads, small boats and cruise embarkation and disembarkation and insufficient facilities to provide a comfortable sightseeing tour.
Guests are advised that some walking is required during this excursion; we always ensure that we take the most comfortable ways from the entrance of the sight to the sight itself.
Royal temples and palaces uphold a very strict dress code: it is essential that you dress appropriately during this excursion by wearing clothes that cover shoulders and fall below the knees. Customers wearing shirts with obscene and disrespectful prints and pictures and brightly-coloured clothing may be refused entrance.
Sand and water have a destructive effect on electronic equipment. It the customer’s own responsibility to ensure that any camera, mobile telephone or other device is properly wrapped and protected against these elements. We cannot be held responsible in any way for negligence and/or not following suggestions for any damage related to this.
Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power.
We reserve the right to make necessary changes to the excursion in case of unfavourable weather conditions or situations where we are forced to make alterations to guarantee the safety of our guests.
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct hotel information, should pick-up and drop-off services be included in the package. Any changes in accommodation outside 48 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 48 hours may be on request.

Terrific tour and Pong, our guide, was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of moving us around and re-organizing things since we were there during the New Year. Lots of places were closed or jammed because of the holiday and he really managed things well. Hotels were great, food was good and it was a good variety of things to do and see.
